• On October 7, 2008, NYSPHSAA's
Championship Advisory Committee met and approved the State Regional
Tournament proposal submitted by the Wrestling Committee. The proposal
now goes to NYSPHSAA's Executive Committee which is scheduled to meet on
October 20th. If the Executive Committee approves the proposal, the new
tournament format could be in place for the 2010 state championships.
