Nassau Blue & Orange Alumni Match

Nassau Community College’s wrestling team will showcase their 2008/09 defending National Championship team and honor two of their previous coaches on November 22, 2008 at 7:00pm. Honorees will be previous head coach Chuck Henke and former assistant coach Chris Edmond. This year’s team is currently ranked first in the NJCAA (Div 3) with two Nassau wrestlers ranked first in their respective weight classes, Silas Murray 125lbs and Brandon Williamson 285lbs. In additional Eduardo Delgado is ranked 7^th in the country at 157lbs.

Charles Henke known to many of us as Coach and Chuck to others was head coach for twenty five years and inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame. Coach Henke in his tenure had 3 National Champions plus 26 NJCAA All Americans in his 25 years of coaching at Nassau.

Chris Edmond a former Division 1 National Champion coached at Nassau for ten years was very instrumental in the three NJCAA National Championships and the two NWCA National Dual Meet Championships won during his tenure.
